Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and technically sound IT Admin / System Engineer to support day-to-day IT operations at our Kochi office. The role involves hands-on administration of systems, networks, and end-user support across the organization. The ideal candidate should have solid foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and IT support processes, with a desire to grow into senior responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities

Network & Infrastructure Support
  • Assist in day-to-day IT operations, including server maintenance, network monitoring, and end-user support.
  • Support and administer the Microsoft Azure environment (compute, storage, networking, and basic security).
  • Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and uptime; escalate anomalies as needed.
  • Assist in managing VPNs, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Support data backup procedures and assist in disaster recovery (DR) testing and documentation.

User Support & Ticketing
  • Provide timely Level 1/Level 2 IT support to end-users across offices.
  • Log, track, and resolve support tickets within defined SLA timelines.
  • Identify recurring issues and escalate to senior team members with documented findings.
  • Maintain a knowledge base of common issues and resolutions to enable self-service for users.

IT Asset Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Track asset lifecycle: procurement, assignment, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware setup, repairs, and replacements.

Vendor & Procurement Support
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement and service requests.
  • Track AMC/renewal schedules and alert management ahead of expiries.
  • Maintain records of vendor contacts, contracts, and service agreements.

Documentation & Collaboration
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation: network diagrams, SOPs, asset registers, and configuration records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT requirements for projects and initiatives.
  • Assist senior IT staff in implementing process improvements and automation.

Requirements

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in IT administration, system engineering, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with basic network administration.

Technical Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (virtual machines, storage, networking, Azure AD).
  • Experience with Office 365 and endpoint management tools.
  • Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, switches, and LAN/WAN concepts.
  • Basic understanding of IT security principles, patch management, and antivirus tools.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Freshservice, ServiceNow, Jira).

Soft Skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks.
